Róbert Mak's contract with Slovan Bratislava has ended and he is now without a contract. He is considering ending his career and stated that he will use the next two months to decide whether to continue playing or to retire. Mak emphasized that he would not play for another club in Slovakia, as Slovan Bratislava is the only Slovak club for which he would play. Regarding playing abroad, Mak said that after his time in Sydney, he is not inclined to go abroad again, but might accept what he considers a truly advantageous opportunity if it seems sensible to him.
