Foot Mercato's live transfer blog on Friday reported that Marseille made an approach to sign Reiss Nelson two weeks ago. The report added that while Reiss Nelson is expected to join a new team soon, it would probably not be Marseille.

Olympique Marseille has submitted an offer to Arsenal for Reiss Nelson, which is currently expected to be rejected. The French club is seeking to reinforce its squad at a lower cost. The 26-year-old English winger, who can play on both sides, is under contract with his formative club, Arsenal, until 2027. He has been capped 12 times for the England U21 team, scoring 6 goals, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €8.00m. Several other clubs, including West Ham and Fulham, have also been associated with the player.
