Information has appeared suggesting that 24-year-old Romanian goalkeeper Răzvan Sava requested to be allowed to leave Universitatea Craiova. Răzvan's father, Aurel Sava, denied this, stating that his son is not affected by his substitute status. Aurel Sava also stated that Răzvan would not say he wants to leave Craiova. Sava joined the club in July 2026 on a contract valid until June 2030 and has not yet been capped by the Romanian national team. Genoa and Udinese have been mentioned as interested clubs. His transfer from Udinese in July 2026 was reportedly for a fee of €2.5 million. It was also reported in October 2026 that the Italian club kept a buy-back option. Sava's current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €2.5M.
