Oaidă had terminated his contract with Universitatea Cluj for just cause, but his request was denied by federal committees, leading the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Until he became a free agent this summer, regulations barred him from training with another top-tier club. To maintain his fitness, he remained in Arad and trained under his former coach, Francisc Tisza. He used the stadium's gym only when the UTA Arad team was not present to avoid violating any rules.
