SportMediaset has reported that Olympiacos is prepared to offer 8 million euros to persuade Hellas Verona to sell Rafik Belghali.

Rafik Belghali, who plays for Verona, is on Olympiacos's transfer list as an option for the right side of the defense. The Piraeus club is in communication with the Italian club from the period when Verona showed interest in Roman Yaremchuk. This relationship could be a factor if Olympiacos decides to proceed with acquiring the right-back. Belghali has been positively evaluated and he is being considered by the Red-Whites, even if the press no longer frequently mentions him in reports related to Piraeus. He is not the only player being considered for this position.

Olympiacos is considering Hellas Verona's 24-year-old Algerian right-back/wing-back, Rafik Belghali, as an alternative option to strengthen their right side. Olympiacos is monitoring his case as Hellas Verona is discussing his potential transfer. There is also interest in the player from Marseille, Sassuolo, and teams in the Premier League. Belghali has 17 caps and 2 goals for Algeria. He joined Verona in August 2025 and his contract runs until June 2029. His primary goal is to continue his career in one of Europe's top five leagues. He is valued at 12 million euros on Transfermarkt. In August 2026, Hellas Verona's asking price was reportedly €15 million, and in July 2026, Olympique Marseille was said to have offered a loan with a €13 million purchase obligation.
