Polish goalkeeper Rafał Gikiewicz, 37, who is no longer in the plans of Widzew Łódź, contacted Wisła Kraków to offer his services. The club's president, Jarosław Królewski, confirmed on the PDK LIVE channel that Gikiewicz had reached out. However, Królewski stated that the club believes its current goalkeeping lineup is good and intends to develop it. He added that he does not think they will return to the topic in the winter, as they are not considering experiments. Before approaching Wisła, Gikiewicz had been in advanced negotiations with Zagłębie Lubin during the summer, but the move ultimately did not materialize. Widzew Łódź had proposed a contract termination to the goalkeeper, but he did not agree to it. The player's contract runs until June 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €250k.
