Radosław Majecki Transfer from Monaco to Brest

Grégory Lorenzi, the sporting director of Brest, stated that there has been no discussion with AS Monaco regarding an early return for Radoslaw Majecki, who is on loan at Stade Brestois. Lorenzi emphasized that Majecki faces a mental challenge and is not currently the first-choice goalkeeper. He also said that if Brest were to bring in another goalkeeper, that player would need to be better than the two current goalkeepers and it would require a significant investment.

Radoslaw Majecki, a 25-year-old Polish international goalkeeper with one cap, is anticipated to be loaned to Brest from Monaco for a year without an option to purchase. He is set to undergo a medical examination on Friday. This transfer is a consequence of Marco Bizot's departure from Brest to Aston Villa, which has led Brest to search for a new goalkeeper. Furthermore, it is reported that Lukas Hradecky from Leverkusen is nearing a move to Monaco. Majecki, who has been with Monaco since 2020, faced a difficult previous season due to injuries that hampered his performance and resulted in him losing his starting spot to Philipp Köhn. Despite signing a contract extension with Monaco until 2028, the loan move seems to be part of a restructuring following a less successful season for him. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €6.00m.
