Welsh international winger Rabbi Matondo, 25, is set to leave Brann after playing just 30 minutes for the club. Matondo has been granted permission to leave the Norwegian club to find a new contract elsewhere. Matondo is not part of Brann training and has been allowed to leave Bergen to speak to a new club. BT journalist Gabriel Okland Retallack posted on X that Rabbi Matondo had been granted permission to visit another club, and has therefore left Bergen. It is understood that Rangers did not receive a fee as part of Matondo's deal to join Brann but could benefit from bonus payments at a later date after coming to an agreement on Matondo’s departure. His contract with Brann expires on 31/12/2026. Matondo, who has 15 caps and one goal for Wales, has a current market value of €900k according to Transfermarkt. In the 2025/2026 season, he made three league appearances for Brann and one for his previous club, Rangers, recording no goals or assists.
