Tuttomercato has reported that Perugia is interested in acquiring Pietro Saio following his impressive performances at Cavese. Saio, a central defender born in 2003, has attracted Perugia's attention after a remarkable year at Cavese. After joining Cavese from Grosseto less than a year ago, Saio quickly became a key player, earning a permanent spot in the starting lineup. Despite finishing twelfth in Serie C Girone B, Perugia is keen on acquiring Saio, backed by a new Argentine ownership, aiming to strengthen its squad under coach Vincenzo Cangelosi. However, Perugia is facing competition from Juve Stabia, which finished fifth in Serie B and has shown considerable interest in Saio, whose contract with Cavese is valid until 2026.
