Cercle Brugge previously attempted to sign Pierre Dwomoh, a 21-year-old Belgian, from Watford, but the English club refused the move. The Belgian side was not the only club to be rejected, as Scottish club Aberdeen also failed in an attempt to sign the midfielder. More recently, Turkish club Konyaspor pushed to acquire him, with Het Nieuwsblad reporting that the club made multiple bids. However, Watford remained stubborn and turned down all approaches, refusing to let Dwomoh leave. Dwomoh's contract with Watford runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.20m.
