Juventus is considering the 31-year-old Italian goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini as an alternative goalkeeping option because a deal for their primary target, Kamil Grabara of Wolfsburg, is in an advanced stage but is not yet complete. Gollini is regarded as a reliable and quality player, is appreciated by many other Serie A clubs, and is held in high esteem by Luciano Spalletti. It is reported that some of these other interested clubs want him for a starting role and not just as a backup. Additionally, Roma and Gian Piero Gasperini are not against keeping him. Gollini joined AS Roma in January 2025, and his contract is valid until June 2027. The goalkeeper has one cap for Italy and a current market value of €800k, according to Transfermarkt.
