VfL Bochum has officially announced the contract extension with the 32-year-old, who has extended his contract prematurely by three more years until 2028.

The 'WAZ' reports that the contract of 32-year-old German forward Philipp Hofmann, originally expiring next summer, was prematurely extended by two more years until 2028 back in August. An official confirmation from Bochum has not yet been given. The new contract does not apply to the 3rd league; in the event of relegation, Bochum would lose Philipp Hofmann on a free transfer. Hofmann decided to stay with VfL. His market value is listed at €1.00m by Transfermarkt, and Hertha BSC has recently been linked with the player.
