Frosinone are interested in signing FC Basel's 27-year-old winger Philip Otele, who is also the subject of interest from Lecce and Birmingham City. Derby County, a Championship club, has opened talks regarding a potential transfer for the Nigerian international, who has five caps for his country. Otele's future is unresolved after Hamburg opted not to make his recent loan deal permanent. Basel is prepared to sell the player this summer and is seeking a fee of €5m (£4.3m). The winger joined the Swiss club in July 2025 for a reported €3 million and has a contract that runs until 2028. Transfermarkt lists his current market value as €4.00m.
