Péter Baráth Transfer from Raków Częstochowa to Sigma Olomouc
The portal 'Weszło' reported that SK Sigma Olomouc was required to pay a significant amount for Peter Barath. According to the portal's findings, the payment for the player was expected to be around 2 million euros. Szymon Janczyk from 'Weszło' conveyed that Barath's departure is a good investment for Raków. The club from Częstochowa purchased the player for approximately half a million euros.
Péter Baráth has become a new player for Sigma Olomouc, and both clubs confirmed the move on Thursday. The terms of the transaction have not been announced, but Raków Częstochowa confirmed it was a permanent transfer. Baráth is leaving Raków Częstochowa after two years.
As their captain Radim Breite is likely to depart, Sigma Olomouc is seeking a replacement in the defensive midfield position and is considering 23-year-old Hungarian international Péter Baráth from Raków. The club had also considered Marko Solda from Dinamo Zagreb, but it appears that transfer was not completed. Baráth, who has two caps for Hungary, joined the Polish club in July 2025 for a fee that was reported to be above €500,000, and his contract is valid until June 2030. In the current 2025/2026 Ekstraklasa season, he has made 15 appearances and scored 1 goal. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m.
