Petar Stojanović, a 30-year-old Slovenian midfielder who has not been regularly featuring for Legia Warszawa, may transfer to Maribor in the summer. The portal Sportklub reported that there are indications the owners of Maribor could withdraw due to poor results, which have occurred despite the arrival of a wealthy Turkish owner. The report also cited payment delays as an issue. Amid this situation, rumors have emerged that Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of Olympiakos, might invest in the club. It is reported that he and his associates are already planning summer reinforcements, and Stojanović is said to be a primary target. Sportklub notes that Stojanović is considered an icon at Maribor and his signing would be met with significant enthusiasm by the fans. Stojanović joined Legia in July 2025 and has a contract with the club until June 2028. He has 72 appearances and two goals for Slovenia, and Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €450k.
