Portuguese centre-back Pedro Ganchas, 26, who had been wanting to join a new club all summer, was in agreement with Serbian silver medalists Vojvodina regarding a move. However, his Superliga club, Silkeborg, ultimately rejected the offers. Ganchas explained that he had expected to leave the club this year. He said that after offers were made, matters were largely settled from his side for a departure he believed would be beneficial for him personally and athletically. The centre-back added that a disagreement arose with the club when they did not accept the bids, which created some tension, but he stated this is now in the past and his focus is on playing again. Ganchas joined Silkeborg in July 2024 and his contract is valid until the end of 2028.
