Pedro Bicalho Transfer from Qarabağ to Botafogo
Globo.com reported that Botafogo had made proposals for Pedro Bicalho, but he was later removed from the club's plans under the new coach.
According to ESPN BR, an offer was made to Pedro Bicalho by Botafogo, however the deal did not progress and has been ruled out internally.
A second official proposal has been made by Botafogo to sign Qarabag midfielder Pedro Bicalho. The proposed deal is a loan with an option to buy. The club from Rio de Janeiro has increased the short-term payments to the European team, after the first attempt was rejected due to the financial terms. The negotiations are being handled by agent Breno Chartier from Dunkirk Sports. While Pedro Bicalho and Botafogo have not yet discussed salary, the player is positive about a potential return to Brazilian football.

Botafogo is monitoring the European market and has made an approach for 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder Pedro Bicalho, who plays for Qarabag of Azerbaijan. The portal Transferências 24h initially revealed the club's interest, which was later confirmed by ESPN on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Negotiations are currently in progress, but Qarabag has requested a higher amount to continue discussions. The Rio de Janeiro team is reportedly looking to hire more than one defensive midfielder for the upcoming season and is also scouting other names for the position from the Série A do Campeonato Brasileiro. Bicalho joined the Azerbaijani club in July 2025 and has a contract until June 2028. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.00m. In the current Premyer Liqa season, he has made 12 appearances and provided one assist.
