Midfielder Paulius Golubickas has returned to FK Žalgiris, signing a contract that will run until December 31, 2029. The 26-year-old became available on a free transfer after he terminated his contract with Radomiak Radom by mutual agreement just days after returning from a loan spell at Finnish club KuPS. Žalgiris sporting director Giedrius Klevinskas commented that Golubickas's quality and mentality are consistent with the club's character and that his familiarity with the environment means he will not need an adaptation period. Klevinskas also noted that the player returns more mature with experience gained abroad and that the signing indicates the club's ambitions in both Lithuania and Europe.
