Matt Law of The Daily Telegraph reported that Beşiktaş and Nottingham Forest have both shown an interest in signing 23-year-old Senegalese central midfielder Pape Matar Sarr from Tottenham, later adding that Everton are also interested in a deal. According to Law, Sarr has been permitted to leave Spurs. This follows a report from Sky Sport Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who stated that Tottenham had informed Sarr he was available for transfer and that manager Roberto De Zerbi reportedly has no plans for him. Tavolieri also mentioned that talks with Galatasaray were continuing and separately reported that Nottingham Forest had progressed in discussions with Tottenham over a potential paid loan with an option to buy. Sarr, who has 42 caps and 4 goals for Senegal, is under contract with Tottenham until 2030 and has a current market value of €30 million. Recent reports from August 2026 indicate Tottenham are asking for approximately €25-€30 million from foreign clubs but request a much higher fee between £30 million and £50 million from Premier League clubs; during this period, Galatasaray reportedly had offers of €18 million and £17.1 million rejected.
