Thirty-three-year-old Spanish midfielder Pablo González Juárez has signed a one-year contract with Niké liga participant AS Trenčín. He is the first Spanish player in the club's history. González's previous club was the Cypriot team Ethnikos Achna, where he scored nine goals in 53 league appearances. The midfielder has previously played in the Czech Republic for clubs including Duklu Praha and Sigmu Olomouc. González stated he was very happy to sign and had been impressed by Trenčín's style of play when he faced them in a friendly approximately four years ago while at Sigma Olomouc. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €125k.
