Ivorian midfielder Ousmane Doumbia is transferring immediately to Yverdon Sport from Lugano, despite his contract with Lugano running until the end of the season. The 33-year-old has signed a contract with Yverdon until the summer of 2027. He joined Lugano in 2022 and had a temporary loan period at Chicago in the MLS. The transfer is a return for Doumbia to the club, where he previously played during the 2017/18 season. Yverdon Sport is currently third in the Challenge League. In 11 Super League appearances for Lugano this season, he scored one goal and provided one assist. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is currently €250k.
