Liverpool is one of several clubs interested in Ousmane Diao, a 21-year-old Senegalese central defender for FC Midtjylland. The Danish club is reportedly willing to sell the player and is asking for a fee between €15 million and €20 million. Other teams targeting the defender are Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Porto, Benfica, Fulham, Everton, Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth. RB Leipzig previously made a €12 million offer that Midtjylland rejected. Diao joined the Danish club in July 2024, and his current contract runs until June 30, 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is currently €8.00m. In October 2025, Sevilla reportedly submitted a €10 million proposal for the player.
