Charlton Athletic are reportedly near to completing a transfer for 18-year-old Finnish midfielder Otto Tiitinen from Finnish club Ilves. An agreement is now close, with the player expected to complete his medical on Monday. Tiitinen will join the Championship club on a loan that includes an option to buy, a structure that would allow the Addicks to sign a player with considerable potential without a significant immediate financial outlay. The player is a Finland U18 international with one cap. He joined Ilves in January 2025 and has a contract until the end of 2028. This season in the Veikkausliiga, he has made 14 appearances and scored one goal. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €150k.
