This inquiry is part of the club's initial market moves for the upcoming season following their promotion to Série A. Athletico PR has prioritized the defensive midfielder position, a need that coach Odair Hellmann had previously highlighted. Otávio was developed at Athletico and played there until 2017. He has had limited playing time at Fluminense, appearing in 13 games this season. The player joined Fluminense in February 2025 and has a contract until the end of 2027.
