RB Leipzig has officially acquired Japanese forward Ota Yamamoto from Kashiwa Reysol. Yamamoto, who was born in 2004, has signed a long-term contract with the German club until June 30, 2031.

Offensive player Ota Yamamoto, 22, is moving from Kashiwa Reysol to RB Leipzig, signing a contract with the German club that runs until 2031. A transfer fee of 500,000 Euro is due for the player, whose contract at his former club was valid until 2027. Yamamoto will immediately be loaned out for the upcoming season, returning to RB Omiya in his home country, where he recently scored ten goals in 19 games during a previous loan spell.
