Brøndby has inquired about 21-year-old Danish Fredrikstad player Oskar Øhlenschlæger as the club looks to strengthen its midfield. It is reported that the Danish club contacted the Eliteserie side as recently as Saturday to learn more about the player's situation. This has not yet resulted in a formal bid. It is said that Brøndby is keen on adding Øhlenschlæger to the squad under Steve Cooper. Øhlenschlæger was nominated for young player of the year in the Eliteserien in 2025. AGF had previously shown interest in the player in September, but a deal did not materialize. Øhlenschlæger's contract with Fredrikstad runs until the end of 2028. The midfielder has been capped twice by Denmark U20 and joined Fredrikstad in January 2025. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €2.80m.
