GAIS is nearing an agreement to sign winger Oscar Pettersson from Go Ahead Eagles to strengthen its squad for the Allsvenskan season after recent player departures. It is reported that the parties are only details away from an agreement on a permanent transfer for the 26-year-old former BP and Blåvitt player, although nothing is finalized or signed. GAIS hopes to have him available for the upcoming cup semifinal against Mjällby. The Swedish international joined Go Ahead Eagles in February 2025 and has a contract that runs until June 2028.
