Óscar Melendo, recently parted ways with Cádiz, has signed with the Chinese club Shanghai Port, where he will reunite with former teammate Wu Lei. This marks his first venture abroad at the age of 27, after having less notable stints at Granada and Cádiz. Both Melendo and Wu Lei were key players in the last Espanyol team to compete in European competitions, under the management of Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi.'
