Hobro has signed 21-year-old offensive player Onyebuchi Obasi from Vålerenga on a three-year contract. According to sports director Lars Justesen, a transfer agreement was reached with Vålerenga after Obasi was identified through their network and then scouted using their data model. Justesen noted that the club had been seeking an explosive, fast, and skilled dribbler to address a gap in their offense, and that Obasi was prominent on these parameters. The sports director also described the Nigerian as a young player with significant potential that the club hopes to develop. Obasi stated that he had good conversations with head coach Jens Gjesing and the sports director, and he believes the transfer is the right move for his career.
