Omer Hanin Transfer from Hapoel Haifa to MSV Duisburg

Omer Hanin has joined MSV Duisburg, completing their goalkeeper team. The 27-year-old arrives from Hapoel Haifa and has previously gained experience in German leagues, having played for Mainz 05's second team, FSV Frankfurt, and Waldhof Mannheim. He made twelve appearances in the 3. Liga for Waldhof Mannheim and participated in 35 Regionalliga matches for Mainz and Frankfurt. Duisburg's sporting director, Chris Schmoldt, expressed excitement about Hanin's addition, noting his valuable experience and character, and described him as a perfect fit for their goalkeeper profile and a true team player. Schmoldt also highlighted Hanin's eagerness to join Duisburg. MSV's head coach, Dietmar Hirsch, emphasized that Hanin's experience, including four international matches for Israel's U18 and U19 teams, would benefit the younger goalkeepers in the squad. Hanin himself conveyed his eagerness to embrace the challenge, work with the team, and engage with the fans, aiming to compete for the backup goalkeeper position behind current first-choice Maximilian Braune. Duisburg, the current 3. Liga leaders, are looking forward to their next match against Verl, possibly with Hanin in the squad.
