Oluwaseun Ogbemudia Transfer from FC Union Berlin to Waldhof Mannheim
Defender Oluwaseun Ogbemudia, 19, will play for 3. Liga club Waldhof Mannheim on loan for the second half of the season. Before the temporary move, Ogbemudia extended his expiring contract with the Berlin Bundesliga club. He has been in the matchday squad for the Berlin club eleven times but has not yet made a Bundesliga appearance. The purpose of the transfer is to provide him with his first professional experience in competitive matches. Union manager Horst Heldt stated that Ogbemudia needs match practice, which was not possible with them due to the competition for his position. Heldt added that they are glad to have found this opportunity at Waldhof Mannheim and, because they are convinced of the player's potential, agreed to a contract extension. He concluded that they will monitor the next six months closely, and that they hope Ogbemudia gets playing time and returns with new experiences.
