Zych said that Raków tried to include a buyout option but Aston Villa did not agree. Zych mentioned that a plan Aston Villa has for him has been consistently implemented since he joined the club at the age of 16.

Raków Częstochowa, who were uncertain about Oliwier Zych's availability for the spring round, held discussions with board members at Aston Villa regarding the 21-year-old's immediate future. The Premier League club holds the rights to the player and could have recalled him during the winter. The team from Birmingham has now agreed for Zych to remain at Raków Częstochowa for the rest of the campaign.
