President Wojciech Cygan stated on Ekstraklasa TV that Raków Częstochowa may try to loan Oliwier Zych from Aston Villa again. Zych will return to England after the season because Raków did not secure a buy option for him. Cygan explained that it is possible Zych could be loaned again for another year, but that it is too early for definitive decisions.

In an interview with Weszlo.com, Oliwier Zych stated that he does not expect to stay at Raków Częstochowa permanently. Zych said that Raków tried to include a buyout option but Aston Villa did not agree. Zych mentioned that a plan Aston Villa has for him has been consistently implemented since he joined the club at the age of 16.

Raków Częstochowa, who were uncertain about Oliwier Zych's availability for the spring round, held discussions with board members at Aston Villa regarding the 21-year-old's immediate future. The Premier League club holds the rights to the player and could have recalled him during the winter. The team from Birmingham has now agreed for Zych to remain at Raków Częstochowa for the rest of the campaign.
