Oliver Edvardsen leaving Ajax?
Oliver Edvardsen stated he feels quite certain that Ajax is open to selling or loaning him out. He said it is a difficult choice that also depends on the opportunities that arise. Edvardsen mentioned that there are some interested clubs but did not specify which ones. He also explicitly excluded a return to Go Ahead Eagles, stating that they have not spoken to each other.
According to clubwatcher Mike Verweij of De Telegraaf, Oliver Edvardsen may leave Ajax after the winter transfer period. Edvardsen is allowed to leave, but Ajax only wants to sell him, while clubs are only interested in a loan. Ajax seeks to receive approximately the same amount they paid for the Norwegian winger about a year ago, which was about three million euros.
Clubwatcher Mike Verweij stated that Oliver Edvardsen, a 26-year-old Norwegian winger, may leave Ajax this winter. Verweij said that Edvardsen is allowed to leave, that there is not yet a lot of interest in him, and that the staff would like a new option for the right winger position. Voetbal International also hinted at a possible departure for Edvardsen, who has played few minutes for Ajax in recent weeks. The player joined Ajax in January 2025 and has a contract that runs until 2028. In the current 2025/2026 Eredivisie season, he has made 10 appearances, providing one assist. His current Transfermarkt market value is €4.00m.
