Oliver Edvardsen Transfer from Ajax to Go Ahead Eagles
FC Utrecht, FC Groningen, and Go Ahead Eagles, all Eredivisie clubs, have inquired with Ajax about Oliver Edvardsen, a 26-year-old Norwegian winger. It was reported that the three clubs, which include Edvardsen's former team Go Ahead, were seeking a loan deal. Ajax, however, has informed them that the player is not available for a temporary move at this moment. In a conversation with ESPN, Edvardsen himself indicated that he is open to leaving Ajax because of a lack of playing time, and stated the club is also open to the possibility. He also mentioned that there has been contact with a few clubs. According to Edvardsen, whether a move would be temporary or permanent depends on the plan a potential new club has for him. Edvardsen is under contract until June 2028. This season in the Eredivisie, he has made 11 appearances and provided one assist. In January 2026, reports stated that Ajax's asking price was approximately €3.0 million; this is the same fee the club paid to sign him from Go Ahead Eagles in January 2025. His current valuation on Transfermarkt is €4.0 million.
