FC Utrecht, FC Groningen, and Go Ahead Eagles have made inquiries to Ajax regarding 26-year-old Norwegian forward Oliver Edvardsen. According to reports, the three Eredivisie clubs were exploring a loan deal. However, Ajax informed them that a temporary move is not an option at this time. Speaking to ESPN, Edvardsen indicated he is open to leaving Ajax because of a lack of playing time. He also stated that the club is open to a transfer. He confirmed that there has been contact with a few clubs and said that a potential move could be either temporary or permanent, which would depend on the plan the interested club has for him. In the current Eredivisie season, Edvardsen has made 11 appearances and provided one assist. His contract with the Amsterdam club is valid until June 2028. Reports in December 2025 and January 2026 stated that Ajax's asking price was approximately €3.0 million.
