Journalist Mikhail Spivakovsky reported that the Zhytomyr club, "Polesye", has had a long-term interest in Aleksei Kashchuk. According to Spivakovsky, "Polesye" was prepared to pay approximately 2 million euros for the footballer, but the player had previously been unwilling to return to Ukraine.
