Odin Bailey, an attacking midfielder with dual English and Jamaican nationality, became a free agent after his contract at Stockport County expired this summer and had previously been linked with Huddersfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday, and other clubs. Sheffield Star reporter Alex Miller had suggested Bailey was on a recruitment longlist for Sheffield Wednesday. However, Portsmouth now appear to be close to signing the 26-year-old, as Sam Byrne reports that the player is set for a move to the Championship club. Bailey has a current Transfermarkt market value of €500k and has been capped once for England at U16 level.
