Nordin Jackers Transfer from Club Brugge to Union Saint-Gilloise
Union expressed an interest in acquiring 27-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Nordin Jackers from Club Brugge. However, despite this interest, Jackers decided to continue his career at Club Brugge, citing his comfort at the club and the potential to secure a starting role as reasons for his decision. Jackers, who joined Club Brugge a year ago from OH Leuven for a fee of 150,000 euros, has established himself as a key member of the team. He notably stepped in for Simon Mignolet during important matches, demonstrating his capability. His impressive performances have been rewarded with a new contract that extends until 2029, underscoring Club Brugge's belief in him as a potential future first-choice goalkeeper. Although Union, along with several international clubs, made attempts to entice him away, Jackers chose to stay, valuing his development and the opportunities at Club Brugge over the chance of securing a guaranteed starting position in the Champions League with Union. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €1.20 million.
