FC Groningen has made inquiries about Noah Weisshaupt, a 24-year-old German winger from SC Freiburg whose contract is valid until mid-2027. Weisshaupt, who has been capped for Germany at the U21 level, was recently on loan at Hannover 96. The 2. Bundesliga club holds an option to buy him, although it is uncertain if they will exercise it. Groningen has competition for the player, as VfL Bochum is also interested in signing him, and there is additional interest from other clubs in the Bundesliga and from abroad. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.50m.
