Catanzaro is considering Sampdoria's Nikolas Ioannou, a 30-year-old Cypriot international, as they search for a left-sided player. Mantova are also reportedly interested in Ioannou. In Serie B this season, he has made 16 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist. The left-back has 51 caps for his country. His contract with Sampdoria runs until June 2027, and he joined the club in July 2025 from Como for a fee reported to be €2.0 million. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €700k.
