Nikolai Hopland, a 22-year-old Norwegian defender, signed a four-year contract with Danish club Randers FC on Monday. The defender had expressed a wish to leave Heerenveen after being used infrequently by Robin Veldman, despite having become a regular starter shortly after his arrival from Aalesunds FK in the summer of 2024. Heerenveen agreed to cooperate with his departure and had already brought in Mees Hilgers as a replacement.
