Nikita Iosifov wants to return to Spain, where he played for Villarreal's reserve team and spent a large part of his senior career before coming to Slovenia.

The future of Nikita Iosifov, a 25-year-old Russian winger, has not been formally decided, but it is expected that he will not be a member of Celje in the new season. He joined the club in August 2024 and his contract expires on June 30, 2026. In the 2025/2026 Prva Liga season, he made 33 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 8 assists. The former Russia U21 international has two caps. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m. He has also been linked with Spartak Moskva.
