The press service of Samara's 'Krylya Sovetov' announced the transfer of defender Nikita Chernov. The player has signed a contract with the club that runs until 2029. Chernov departed from 'Spartak' as a free agent this summer. The player spent the previous season on loan at 'Krylya Sovetov'.

According to correspondent Ilya Nikulnikov, Nikita Chernov is undergoing an in-depth medical examination with Krylia Sovetov. In the previous season, Chernov played for Krylia Sovetov on loan, while his permanent contract was with Spartak Moscow. Spartak Moscow officially announced the departure of Nikita Chernov, as the association between the two parties ended at the end of his contract.

Francis Cagigao, the sporting director of Spartak Moscow, has stated that Nikita Chernov is not part of the club's plans and they do not intend to recall him from his loan at Krylia Sovetov Samara. Cagigao noted that Spartak has four central defenders and Babic is expected to return from injury in April. He added that this was his opinion, as Juan Carlos has not worked with Chernov. The player's contract with Spartak runs until the summer of 2026.

Vladimir Kuzmichyov, the agent for Nikita Chernov, has explained the player's transfer from Spartak to Krylya Sovetov. Speaking on a new episode of the Championat podcast 'Premier-Liga of Injustice', Kuzmichyov stated that it was important for Chernov to join a team where he would be counted on as a player. The agent added that Chernov wanted to be able to restore his form, contribute to the team, and demonstrate his value after being underestimated by Spartak's coaching staff.
