In France, Nicolás Tagliafico, a 34-year-old Argentine international, is being strongly mentioned as a candidate for the left-back position at Olympiakos. The defender has one year remaining on his contract with Lyon and is said to have admirers at the Greek club despite his age. Tagliafico has been capped 83 times, has scored one goal, and played in all seven of his national team's games at the World Cup. The defender also holds an Italian passport and joined Lyon in July 2022 from Ajax for a fee of €4.2m. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €4.00m. In addition to Olympiakos, Nottingham Forest and Deportivo La Coruña have also been linked with the player.
