According to Tuttomercato, Nicolas Gonzalez, who appeared likely to leave Torino at the start of the season, persuaded Spalletti to rely on him because of his performances in the early matches. Gonzalez has since renewed his contract with Juventus.

The Bianconeri management has attempted to sell 28-year-old Argentinian winger Nico González throughout the summer and will probably attempt to sell him again in the next three days. González, who joined Juventus in July 2025 and has a contract until 2029, recently returned from a loan spell with Atlético de Madrid. The Argentina international has 58 caps for his country, and his current market value is €22.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
