Nicolas Fonseca Transfer from León to Real Oviedo
According to Récord, Nicolás Fonseca is joining Real Oviedo as their first reinforcement in the winter transfer market. Guillermo Almada also announced the move. Fonseca arrives in LaLiga on loan from León for the next six months. His debut will not be immediate, as Grupo Pachuca's team has full roster spots and must remove a player to register him. Horațiu Moldovan and Brandon Domingues are the main candidates to leave to make space for Nicolás Fonseca.
Uruguayan midfielder Nicolás Fonseca, 27, is set to arrive from León in the coming days to strengthen the midfield at Oviedo, and his signing is expected to coincide with a departure from that same position, with Kwasi Sibo identified as a candidate to leave. Fonseca joined León in January 2025 and his contract with the club runs until the end of 2028. The Uruguayan international, who has six caps for his country, has made 15 appearances in the Liga MX Apertura this season. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €3.50m.
