Real Oviedo has shown interest in acquiring Nemanja Maksimović, a 30-year-old midfielder who is currently with Panathinaikos in the Greek Super League. This interest is primarily attributed to the connection between Maksimović and Veljko Paunović, the coach of Real Oviedo, as both were part of the Serbia U-20 national team that clinched the World Cup. Maksimović was the player who scored the decisive goal in the final against Brazil. Nevertheless, a significant hurdle remains his existing contract with Panathinaikos, which is valid until 2017.
