Toronto FC is finalizing a deal to acquire 25-year-old Colombian midfielder Nelson Palacio from Real Salt Lake, a development first reported by CLMerlo. Palacio is set to join for a $1.2m cash trade and will occupy a U-22 initiative slot for Toronto. His contract with Real Salt Lake is set to expire on December 31, 2026. Palacio has been capped six times for Colombia's U23 team, scoring one goal. In the 2025/2026 Super League season, he made 32 appearances and provided one assist. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.50m.
