Lyngby has confirmed it has acquired 18-year-old central defender Neil Pierre on a loan deal from their partner club, Philadelphia Union, with the agreement lasting until the summer. Lyngby's sports chief, Nicas Kjeldsen, explained that they saw Pierre during a visit in the autumn, and the player also had an opportunity to see the club. Kjeldsen expressed his gladness that they reached an agreement for the rest of the season. He also described Pierre as a young player with the potential to become a top player, adding that they will work with him to achieve a breakthrough and develop his qualities by competing with the club's other talented defenders. Pierre, who has made one senior appearance for Philadelphia Union, will wear the number 12 shirt at Lyngby.
