Neil El Aynaoui Transfer from Roma to AFC Bournemouth

1h ago

Intermediaries have spoken with AFC Bournemouth regarding the availability of Roma midfielder Neil El Aynaoui. According to TEAMtalk, Bournemouth is one of several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Newcastle United, to have had discussions with intermediaries about the 24-year-old Moroccan and French player. The interest follows a season in which El Aynaoui's starting opportunities were limited after his move from Lens in July 2025, and his contract with Roma is due to expire in 2030. Representatives for the player believe a transfer is possible this summer if a suitable offer is made to Roma, and it is expected the club's resolve will be tested by growing interest from England and elsewhere. The midfielder had also attracted enquiries from Barcelona and Real Madrid earlier in the year. Former Marseille sporting director Mehdi Benatia stated to La Gazzetta dello Sport that he had previously tried to sign El Aynaoui but the player was too expensive, and Benatia also questioned why he had not featured more for the Italian club.
